On 4-11-25, The Fayette County Sheriff's Office participated in Touch a Truck Event at West Central School for the pre-school, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade classes.  Students got to talk with Deputy Thyer and Sgt. Schveiger about making "Green Choices" a term used and taught in the classrooms at the school that encompasses making responsible and smart choices.  Young students gave deputies good examples of green choices such as: looking both ways before entering a street, keeping our hands to ourselves, brushing our teeth, and being honest & friendly towards others.  After a short talk with the students, they got to safely explore the patrol cars, run the sirens and talk on the PA.  Fayette County Sheriff's Office would like to thank West Central School for having us!
