Communications Center
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office Communications Center is responsible for answering 911, non-emergency, and administrative calls. The plethora of calls are answered by 6 Full-Time 911 Dispatchers, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. These 6 Dispatchers provide dispatch services for the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, County Conservation, Emergency Management, police departments in West Union and Fayette, along with 7 Ambulances and 13 Fire Departments within Fayette County. The Fayette County Dispatch Center is ever changing with the advances of E-911, computer aided dispatch, radio upgrades, weather radar, Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), Mobile Architecture for Communications Handling (MACH), Traffic and Criminal Software (TraCS); among many other resources used to complete daily operations.
Civil Division
The Civil Division is responsible for serving various legal notices, including original notices, subpoenas, garnishments, writs, domestic no contact orders, restraining orders, and court orders to residents throughout Fayette County. Condemnation and sheriff sales are also part of the Civil duties. By the service of these notices, the Civil division acts as an extension of the court services.
All notices for service by the Sheriff’s Office must be mailed or hand-delivered; we will not accept any notices for service through email.
Payment should be made by cash, cashier’s check, or money order. Cashier’s check or money orders should be made payable to: Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Credit/debit cards and personal checks are not accepted for service of civil papers.
