Meet Sheriff Marty Fisher
Sheriff Marty Fisher Has been a resident of Fayette County for 30 years. Along with his wife, Sheriff Fisher lives in West Union, where he served as Chief of Police prior to being elected as sheriff. He served as a Military Police Officer for the U.S. Army from 1974 - 1977. His Law Enforcement experience also includes West Union Police Officer for 12 years, and a prior Fayette County Sheriff's Deputy from 1989 - 1999, in which he obtained the rank of Sergeant. His educational background includes:
- Majoring in Criminal Law at the University of Hawaii
- Leadership and Management
- Military Police Academy graduate
- Iowa Law Enforcement Academy graduate in 1978
